Activities are made possible in part by the Arts Project Support Grant funded by Arts Illiana, and the Indiana Arts Commission, which receives support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support is provided by the University Arts Endowment Committee at Indiana State University, as well as the Community School for the Arts, The Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center, The College of Arts and Sciences, The Departments of History, Music, and the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. The residency will culminate in an evening public showcase of music and dance Thursday night, Oct. 13th in University Hall Auditorium highlighting new community connections as well as fresh insights into contemporary issues presented by student and community performers with artists from Viver Brasil.
