ISU Spirit Week & Door Decorating Contest October 19-23

Staff Council has declared October 19-23 ISU Spirit Week! This will include themed days as well as a door/office decorating contest. THEME DAYS The themed days are as follows: Monday – Superhero Day (wear your favorite superhero shirt) Tuesday – Pink Day (wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness for October) Wednesday – Plaid/Flannel Shirt Day (wear your favorite plaid/flannel shirt) Thursday – Pro Sports Day (wear your favorite t-shirt/jersey of your favorite pro sports team) Friday – Sycamore Spirit Day (wear your ISU apparel) Send your photo to ISU-StaffCouncil@indstate.edu to be shared on the Staff Council Facebook page. Please include names of those pictured. Or take a picture of yourself or your office and share on Facebook with the hashtags #SycamoreSpiritWeek and #SycamoreStaffRocks. DOOR DECORATING CONTEST The theme for the door/office decorating contest is Sycamore Spirit. Decorate your door/office and show your Sycamore Spirit. Please remember the following: • Participants may register for the contest through Wednesday, October 14 at https://indstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_emlGfMkCcsDviiV. • To be eligible to win a prize, your door must be decorated before Friday, October 16. • Do not damage the door or surrounding wall; please use acceptable adhesive materials. Check with your building supervisor for the approved materials that can be used for the walls. • Decorations may not obstruct or prevent easy access to the office or prevent your daily operations and you must still be able to serve our students, faculty, staff and guests. • Participants may bring items from home to use as decorations; remember this activity is all about being creative and having fun without incurring unnecessary expenses. Decorated doors/offices will be evaluated on THREE criteria: visual impact, creativity, and festiveness. Doors will be judged by a panel of 3-4 people and winners will be announced the afternoon of Wednesday, October 21.
