Please Join the Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center for a Mini Week of events to celebrate and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Mini Week of Events

· Social Media Takeover: Jan. 16th – Jan. 20th - We’re asking all organizations and departments to share facts and information about MLK for the entire week.

· Selma Movie Discussion: On Tuesday, January 17th at 5 p.m. in the AACC Lower Level, Black Graduate Student Association, Black Student Union, NAACP, and NCNW will be hosting a movie discussion about Selma in honor of Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.

· MLK Trivia: Come join Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. on Wednesday, Jan. 18th at 6:06 p.m. in the AACC Lower Level and learn fun facts and information about Dr. King. Prizes will be available.

· Community Service for Dr. King on Thursday, Jan. 19th, from noon-2:00 p.m. in the Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center.

· On Friday, January 20th is the Carole Anderson Reception and Keynote Address. The reception starts at 6:00 p.m. in the Heritage Ballroom, and the Keynote Address starts at 7:00 p.m. in Tilson Auditorium. The MLK Celebration Keynote will be Carole Anderson.

Also, remember to wear all black for solidarity during the day of Friday, January 20th.
