Description

Harriet McNeal, ISU professor Emerita, will present this program by Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

In the early 1900s, most middle-class women didn't work outside the home, and those who did usually became school teachers or nurses, socially acceptable professions for women who had to support themselves. Born in 1899, Terre Haute native Juliet Peddle boldly took a different path, pursuing a degree in architecture from the University of Michigan. She was Indiana's first female registered architect. Join Harriet McNeal for a look at Juliet Peddle and her designs.
