President’s Concert to Feature University’s Finest Musicians

Description

Thirteen of the best and brightest musicians from Indiana State University’s School of Music will present the President’s Concert at 2 p.m. on February 27 in Boyce the Recital Hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts.

This year’s concert spotlights a wide variety of music from classical through contemporary eras by composers such as Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Schumann, Glazunov, and Richard Rodgers.

The students were selected to participate based on their last semester’s outstanding performances in each area of instrumental study and include:
Singer, Morgan Adams, a junior choral music education major from Wheatfield, IN; Singer, Josh Billik, a senior music education major from Beeach Grove, IN; Flutist, Nikelle Carlson a sophomore music education from Joliet, Illinois; Flutist, Emma Donnahoe a junior music education major from Palmyra, IN; Pianist, Jacob Engel a sophomore piano performance major from Avon, IN; Violinist, Lily Kostraba a junior performance major from West Lafayette, IN; Tubist, Chase Monroe a junior music education major from Carlisle, Indiana; Singer, Logan Muñoz a 4th year general studies major with minors in music and dance from Portage, IN; Percussionist, Tyler Smith a junior music composition major from Elkhart, IN; Singer, Kaitlyn Stone a junior music education major with a theater minor from Vincennes, IN; Saxophonist, Morgen Tillema a sophomore music education major from Wheatfield, IN; Singer, Lily Voelz a sophomore music education from Columbus, IN; and Trumpeter, Jordan Witt a sophomore music education major from Terre Haute, IN.
