Description

Dr. Andy Luttrell will present on "The Influence of Moral Appeals in Health Communication" as part of the Psychology Department's spring colloquium on Wednesday, February 14 at 4:00 pm in the Library Events Area.

Dr. Luttrell is an Associate Professor of Psychological Science at Ball State University. He studies basic processes underlying people's attitudes about a variety of topics, including political, social, health, and consumer issues. In particular, he examines how morality, certainty, and ambivalence shape people's views and how they respond to people and messages that conflict with those views. He also produces the podcast "Opinion Science" to bring ideas from this area of psychology to a global non-academic audience.
