The LPN/LVN to BSN Track at Indiana State is approved by the Indiana State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN). To be admitted, you must be a practicing LPN/LVN who has completed a practical nursing program and holds a current practical/vocational nurse licensure. Selected courses may be satisfied entirely by course equivalency exams. You’ll gain hands-on experience by completing clinicals in your community.

The baccalaureate degree program is recognized as the basic preparation for professional nursing practice and prepares the graduate as a generalist. Baccalaureate graduates are prepared to provide direct and indirect nursing care. The graduate also is prepared as a communicator, educator, and advocate, and can assume beginning leadership roles. In addition, the baccalaureate degree is foundational for graduate study in nursing.
