Fall 2020 Live Graduation Ceremonies
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, ISU will be hosting several, smaller, live graduation ceremonies for the Fall 2020 commencement in December. Students will be limited to inviting 4 ticketed guests and all will be required to have pre-issued tickets in order to attend the ceremonies. Only students from Spring 2020 (who responded that they plan on walking in December on the survey), Summer 2020, and those who are eligible to actually graduate in Fall 2020 will be able to participate in commencement ceremonies in December.
The deadline to register for participation in the December 2020 Commencement ceremonies was October 15, 2020. Due to the need for advanced firm headcounts, and proper social distancing resulting from COVID-19 restrictions, those who apply after October 15 will not be eligible to walk in December. No exceptions will be made.
Please complete this form to indicate your interest in walking during the May 2021 commencement ceremony. Due to limitations of the December ceremony, students who were unable to walk will be allowed to walk in May 2021 by completing this form. As we get into the spring 2021 semester, we will communicate more details regarding the ceremony. Spring 2021 commencement is currently scheduled for May 8, 2021.
Below are our current ceremony plans for December 11 and December 12, 2020 (*subject to change):
Graduate Degree Ceremony | Friday, December 11, Hulman Center

Participation in the December ceremonies will be open only to students who registered before our deadline on October 15, 2020, and are eligible to actually graduate in December or have already officially graduated in Spring or Summer 2020. In keeping with mitigation guidelines required for all events held in Hulman Center, all students participating in commencement, and their guests, will be required to wear a face-covering over their nose and mouth. Students must complete the daily health assessment, sent to them via their Sycamores email account, and must receive a green checkmark to participate in the ceremony. Guests will not be admitted to Hulman Center without a ticket, and should not attend if they feel ill.
Tickets will be made available beginning at 7:00 a.m. EDT, on November 2, 2020 via THIS LINK.
We understand how very important it is to have your loved ones join you in celebrating your tremendous accomplishment. Since we are unable to offer unlimited seating for your guests, we will make sure that our ceremonies are available via live-streaming, so that all of your friends and family may have the opportunity to see you walk! Links will be made available on this page on Friday, December 11, 2020, to view the Graduate ceremony, and on Saturday, December 12, 2020, to view the three separate Undergraduate ceremonies.
TICKET INSTRUCTIONS are available here.
Capacity for Hulman Center has been reduced, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Tickets will be required for entry to the appropriate college ceremony. Candidates for graduation will have access to ticket sales online only, beginning November 2, 2020, at 7:00 a.m. Eastern. Students have been emailed a direct and specific link that is unique to their ceremony, where they may sign in with their ISU email address to reserve tickets. A maximum of four (4) tickets may be selected per student for their guests. Children who have reached their second birthday will also require a ticket.
