Housing

Convenient and affordable housing, both on and off campus, is available for all students at Indiana State University.

On-Campus Housing

On campus housing consists of Residence Halls and University Apartments. Reservations for and information about both these options can be made in the Residential Life Office.

ISU currently has nine Residence Halls that fully enrolled students can live in. All students living in the residence halls also have meal plans. Find out more about dining locations and meal plans.

Students who are 21 years old or more have the option in residing in University Apartments. Furnished and unfurnished one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three bedroom apartments are available. (Due to the popularity of these apartments, it is suggested that new students make reservations as early as possible.)

ISU has individual and family housing based on available space. For visiting scholars, your ISU department sponsor must apply for your housing. Please visit the ISU Residential Life webpage for more information and current rates.

Off-Campus Housing

For those students who prefer to live off campus, affordable apartments and houses are available for rent. A listing of some of these options can be found at https://local.yahoo.com/IN/Terre+Haute/Real+Estate/Apartments.

Renting an apartment in the U.S. may be different than in your country. Some landlords or owners may require a large deposit before renting, and may have restrictions about noise, cooking smells, and guests. For more information about renting off-campus, please visit this site HERE!

If possible, new students should make their housing arrangements before arriving at the University. If students wait to make these arrangements until after arrival, they may not have as many options to choose from.

Temporary Housing

For those students who have not made housing arrangements, temporary housing is available in the community. For information about temporary lodging in Terre Haute visit Terre Haute Lodging.
