Proxy Access - For Student

Student logs into their MyISU Portal.

Student clicks their Student Self-Service badge.

Student navigates to the Additional Resources tab.

Student clicks the Proxy Access link

Student follows the Proxy Management link, which takes them to the FERPA Acknowledgement.

Student checks box and submits Acknowledgment, and is then directed to the Proxy Management page.

Student then clicks “Add New”

Student fills in the following fields with the information for their intended proxy:

First Name
-
Last Name
-
Email

Relationship from the dropdown menu. Once a relationship has been selected, the authorizations will automatically expand below for student to select. The access period or "stop date" defaults to 5 years, but can be changed as desired.

Description: (Optional) i.e., Mom, Dad, Coach, Boss

Passphrase (Optional) - Please note that this must be set if student wants to authorize their proxy to communicate via phone or in-person with an ISU representative.

Student selects authorizations they want to grant to this proxy.

Student checks each box associated with information they want to authorize their proxy to view, then clicks Submit.

Notes on Specific Authorizations
- Student Detail Schedule - Authorization to view the detailed course schedule information each term.
- Week at Glance - Authorization to view the student's course schedule in a weekly calendar format.
- Student Holds - Authorization to view current holds on the student's account. Will be empty when no holds are on the student's account.
- Student Grades - Authorization to view the student's grades for each course in each term.
- Tax Notification 1098T - Authorization to view and print 1098T form.
- Student Profile - Authorization to view student's profile information. This includes biographical information, general student information, graduation details, and the student's assigned advisors.
- Account Information - Authorization to view the student's financial account information, broken out by charges and payments for each term.

Once the Student has submitted everything above, their Proxy will immediately recieve three simultaneous emails.

After clicking Submit and saving the proxy information, student is redirected to the Proxy Management home screen. Once there, student can click on the pencil icon beneath a proxy's name to re-enter and send emails regarding the passphrase and authorizations granted.

Student can select 'Email Passphrase' to email the passphrase to their proxy.

Student can reset password for their proxy by selecting Reset Password.

The History tab includes a log of which pages have been authorized and deauthorized to be viewed, along with the dates of those decisions.

The Communications tab includes a list of all emails that have been sent to a proxy. The student here can resend any of these previous communications.

On the Proxy Management homescreen, student can select the Trashcan button beneath the name of an individual proxy to completely remove their proxy access.
