Transfer Credit
In some cases, ISU students may need or wish to earn credit from another institution for transfer to Indiana State University.
Prior to Enrolling in Courses at Another Institution
Prior to enrolling in courses at another institution, students should check with their ISU academic advisors to ensure transferability and applicability of each course to their particular program of study at Indiana State University. Transfer credit is assigned only for courses at the 100 level (or above) in which the student has earned a grade of "C" or higher.
Transfer Credit Procedure
Students must submit official transcripts from the school attended to Indiana State University. To be official, transcripts must be sent directly from the registrar's office at the institution attended to:
Office of Admissions
Indiana State University
318 North 6th Street (Welcome Center)
Terre Haute, Indiana 47809
Upon receipt of official transcripts, the transfer credit will be evaluated and applied to graduation requirements at ISU (as appropriate). Students will see the transfer credit evaluation on their Degree Plan report within three weeks of receipt of official transcripts.
